Before you use Tax Ledger

This free tool is general information and a calculation aid for an Australian individual tax return. It does not cover company, trust or partnership returns, or a return in any other country. It is not tax, financial or legal advice, and it does not replace advice from a registered tax agent.

• Tax rules, rates and return labels change. This tool may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated or unsuitable for your circumstances.
• You are responsible for checking your inputs, calculations and return against current ATO guidance or with a registered tax agent before lodging or amending.
• You are responsible for saving and backing up your ledger file. Browser autosave is crash recovery only; it is not a backup.
• This browser keeps a copy of your ledger so a crash does not lose it, and files you save go to this computer's Downloads folder. On a computer other people use, both outlast your visit — tick the box below, and clear the browser before you leave.
